Blue/White Stockholders Meeting
Saturday, April 21st, 2007 @ 9:00 AM
|
| Nate Killough '07,
Mike Bernabe '07, and Randy Thompson '83 prepare for the
Blue-White '06 Stockholders Meeting |
Come watch the Actives of Phi Delta
Theta present the State of PA Theta and set the example
of how to run a Fraternity!
On Saturday morning of Blue/White weekend,
the Actives of most other fraternities at Penn State will be
busy doing what our Actives typically did
on this day - sleep through their chapter's Alumni Corporation
Meeting.
In very sharp contrast, the Actives of the
new Pennsylvania Theta along with their recent graduate advisors
and mentors will be preparing for one of the most important
events of their college careers - the PA
Theta Blue/White 2007 Stockholders Meeting.
|
| At our Homecoming '05
Stockholders Meeting, our Co-Rush Chairmen
Paul Silber '06, Mike Bernabe '07, and Guy Bacco '07 present
their Rush Program that netted a record 20 new Freshmen Pledges
and will serve as a model for all future Rush Programs |
This is their day to shine. In the last 3 years, our Actives
have done what everyone said was impossible and saved our fraternity - and
they can't wait to tell you about it. They will be presenting the State of
PA Theta covering all aspects of our chapter including a complete
financial report of all our organizations.
|
| House Capacity
Report presented by our Co-House Managers Adam &
Grant Anderson '07 detailing their plans to maximize
the house capacity and rental income |
|
 |
|
| Complete set of Financials presented by
our Treasurer Nathan Killough '07 as the Actives work
to gain control of our finances and return our chapter
to profitability. |
|
They will also
be presenting their plan for the remaining 2 years of our 5-year
Return to Glory Campaign to ensure we emerge as the top Fraternity
on the Penn State campus with a comprehensive Chapter Management
Plan in place to keep us there!
|
| Our Alumni watch and
listen as our Active Leaders present our Return To Glory
Strategy |
Calling all Alumni, we need
your Help...
Our Actives need and deserve your support.
If at all possible, please attend the Stockholders Meeting Saturday
morning. It will mean a lot to our Actives, they've been preparing
for this day for 3 years.
The Stockholders Meeting is by far the most
important event during the weekend, but there is much more planned
if you're willing and have the time. All our new Board members
will be attending and we need your help - critical decisions
will be made about the future of our fraternity and we need your
knowledge, expertise and input.
Most of our work in the last three years has been focused
on saving our Active Chapter. With most of the major issues behind us, we're
ready to start planning for the future. Many of you have expressed an interest
in getting involved as directors, committee members, or class reps - this is
your chance. We need knowledge, expertise, and help in all areas (Finance,
Legal, Fundraising, Negotiating, Public Relations, Sales & Marketing, Graphic
Design, Printing, Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Real Estate Development,
Knowledge of our Physical Plant and current situation, and a few connections
at Penn State wouldn't hurt either).
Our Actives have set the example for all of us. After
seeing what they've been able to accomplish with just a small group, just think
what we can do with our 950 alumni united with them. Contact your friends
and make plans to join us.

Meeting
Location and a little History...
|
| The new IST Building
that sits directly adjacent to our House. It's designed to
be the future center-point of campus as the campus expands
westward, making our property the most valuable property on
the entire Penn State Campus |
If you haven't been back to Penn Sate for
a while, one of the first things that will shock you is the brand
new IST (Information Sciences and Technology) building that sits
directly adjacent to our property. The IST building is designed
to be the center point of the Penn State campus and is why our
property is so valuable - now one of the most, if not the most
valuable property on the Penn State Campus.

| Vice President Elliott
Skrinjar '05 performs a systems test during a dry-run of our
Homecoming '04 presentation |
Just prior to Homecoming '04, Alumni Corporation
President, Randy Thompson '83, asked Active Chapter
Vice President, Elliott Skrinjar '05 to locate
a screen and projector for the planned Homecoming Alumni Corporation
presentation. Elliott, an IST major, had just listened to a presentation
by Michael Dell in the brand new, sate-of-the-art Cybertorium in
the IST Building. Elliott thought that this new high-tech venue
might be a great location for our meetings and pitched the idea
to his professor, Dr. Gerry Santoro. As it turns out, Dr. Santoro
(a Penn State alum) was very familiar with our situation and gladly
volunteered the Cybertorium for our meeting, stating something
to the effect: “I was really happy that you guys were
able to keep your house. I remember when I was in college and would
come over to the Phi Delt house. I always had a great time over
there.”
Thanks Dr. Santoro
and Penn State! |
