Rush Record! PA Theta Welcomes 22 New Leaders! 21 Freshmen and
1 Sophomore
Our Actives prove once again that there's
nothing they can't do!
Submitted 10/15/06
Congratulations to last year's Rush Teams Paul
Silber '06, Mike Bernabe '07,
& Guy Bacco '07 in the Fall, and David
Dunn '08 & Mayur Aras '08 in the
Spring for winning the Headquarters' Membership Recruitment Award.
The Rush Programs they developed and executed netted a record 20
new Freshmen Members (14 Fall, 6 Spring) and set the bar for all
future Rush Programs. Most of their new recruits now live in the
house, hold leadership positions and are driving our incredible
success.

members and future leaders of Phi Delta Theta |
Following and even improving on their example,
this Fall's Co-Rush Chairmen Kevin Haslam '10, Eli
Bohemond '09, Thomas Campbell '09 just
knocked it out of the park! As a core part of our culture from
now on, their goal was 20 new Freshmen Pledges for the entire school
year. They beat that in just the first five weeks of Fall Semester
with a record 22 new pledges (21 Freshmen and 1 Sophomore) - Unbelievable!
Way to go guys! Make No Mistake About It - Great Things
Are Happening at PA Theta! Full

to have a photo of him on the cover as our President accepting
the trophy for Outstanding Fraternity from IFC President Arthur

Son Mark Parker just made CEO of NIKE!

Thanks, you’re doing a heck of
a good job! I’m glad to support efforts like yours and
the others who are helping as well as the actives of PA Theta.
You and your cohorts have started a remarkable turn-around
that makes me proud to be a Phi.
When I was at Penn Sate, just before
World War II and right after, these were some of the best times
of PA Theta and I’m beginning to believe they can come
back for the house. The war had made changes in all of us and
I think we better understood how fortunate we were and the
real value of a good education and the brotherhood of the fraternity.
Because of the housing shortages at Penn State, I never lived
anywhere but the Phi Delta Theta house – and it was great.

President & CEO
Nike, Inc |
I’ve seen Ross Fife '48 and
his wife and daughter recently and learned of his visit with Sam
Cunningham '48. You’ve featured some pictures
of the brothers when I was in school recently –
they all look the same, haven’t aged a bit – and
it brought back lots of great memories.
We’re very proud parents of Mark
Parker (a Penn State graduate) who just made CEO of Nike. (His
wife is Kathy Mills, another Penn State grad and all American
track and cross-country star @ Penn State). We’ve also
welcomed our first great granddaughter into the world in January.

All our officers are busy writing and rehearsing
their presentations for the Blue-White Stockholders Meeting while
our Spring Pledge Class is getting the house in shape for the
big weekend. A lot has happened since our recent progress report
so I decided to put together another update.

Since being elected President, I've been
keeping the chapter focused on our main goals: rebuilding our
membership, maximizing the capacity and filling the house, and
gaining control of our finances and returning our chapter to
profitability - all while enjoying a full social calendar, record
participation in Philanthropic events, continued success in athletics,
and having a whole lot of fun!

We're especially proud of our Rush Teams
that have set a new chapter record - 20 new Pledges,
all Freshmen, all very involved - many have already run and been
elected to an office for next year, and most plan to live in
the house next year! Full
